The Centre for Environment and Development (CED) was created in 1995 with the specific aim of realising sustainable management of Central Africa’s forests. Its mission is to contribute to the protection of indigenous and local communities’ rights, interests, culture and aspirations in Central Africa, by promoting environmental justice and sustainable natural resource management throughout the region.
