Gender Officer/Project Officer, Forest Governance Program (FGP)

As Gender Officer, Ama leads initiatives to integrate gender Perspectives across SDI’s programs and promotes the active participation of women. She also serves as Liberia’s representative to the Friends of the Earth Africa Gender Justice and Dismantling Patriarchy Working Group, contributing to regional efforts on gender justice and social inclusion. Additionally, as Project Officer, she oversees project planning, stakeholder collaboration, and program implementation within the Forest Governance Program. She initially joined SDI as an intern in 2021, transitioning to a full-time role in 2022. She holds a Bachelor’s in Sociology from the University of Liberia and a Master’s in Foreign Service Leadership from African Methodist Episcopal University.
